About Me
Meet - Liz Wood
Highly Specialised Physiotherapist

Liz qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2009 and has worked at St George's Hospital, London, since 2010. Over the past decade, she has specialised in neurological rehabilitation and vestibular physiotherapy, helping people with complex neurological conditions, dizziness and balance disorders regain confidence and independence.

She has extensive experience assessing and treating adults with a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and other neurological disorders. Liz is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based rehabilitation that is tailored to each person's goals, helping them maximise their recovery and improve their quality of life.

Alongside her clinical experience, Liz has completed a number of postgraduate training courses, including Bobath, APPI Pilates and orthotics, ensuring her practice reflects the latest evidence and best clinical practice.
​
Liz currently works part-time as a Principal Physiotherapist in the Neuro & Vestibular Outpatient Service at St George's Hospital. She has a specialist interest in the assessment and treatment of dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR), helping to advance vestibular physiotherapy across the UK.

Alongside her clinical work, Liz is passionate about research and education. She recently completed a prestigious research fellowship investigating persistent symptoms following mild traumatic brain injury in children. She also enjoys teaching other healthcare professionals, delivering advanced splinting courses and contributing to postgraduate Masters level teaching in vestibular rehabilitation.
